When Spirits Borrow Your Stuff.

Okay, so here we are on a Sunday and I'm puzzling over the question a friend asked me last night. "If I've cleaned up my table and searched from top to bottom for the missing form...and I know its not on the table in front of me, then why does it turn up on top of the pile of papers on the same desk just two days later? " Good question! Did he miss it when he was searching? No he didn't because his wife also checked to see if it was in the pile and can verify that it wasn't there.

So what happens do you think? In my experience the spirit world does take things and put them back. They also stop you walking out the door by taking your car keys. This may be annoying but its generally for a good reason, to stop you having an accident for instance. In the case of my friend's form though I think they were just trying to get his attention. Ever since he and his wife moved into their house 17 years ago now they have had things mysteriously go 'missing' albeit temporarily. As a medium I have made contact with an elderly couple who once loved the house, they are friendly, they simply dont want to leave. The elderly wife likes to clean up but unfortunately she moves papers and little items only to have to return them later when she realises that she's making the occupants unhappy which is not her intention at all!

My daughter lost her Harry Potter book one day a few years back now. We were getting ready to go out and she placed it on the back of our couch while she put her coat and shoes on. We were all bustling around but at least two of us noticed as she balanced it precariously on the back of the couch.
Five minutes , or even less perhaps, and we were ready to go. She turned to pick up her book and it was missing. Of course we were all asked which one of us had picked it up but none of us had touched it. We searched high and low but no book was found. In this case the book remained missing for over a year..so its just as well she had actually read it already and was on a fourth or fifth read. She was annoyed though, you betcha!

The book was eventually returned. NOT to the same place though, but to her bed!! Sure enough a year or so later she walked into her room , let out a shriek of delight, and came out to ask which one of us had found her book. Only trouble was, none of us had!! The book was sitting in the middle of her for once neatly made bed as if she had placed it there just moments before. Had she done this herself? No, trust me, if she had I would not have had to put up with the year of endless questioning as to where on earth books as large and as thick as Harry Potter can disappear to. She may have been brought up by a spiritual mum but she really likes to have scientific answers for practical things. Disappearing books is just not scientific!

This is just one of the many odd things that happen to us as a family, we are 'sort of' used to it. It is a way of life. We have a spirit child that lives with us and he, or so we believe, takes what he wants whenever he wants but he always returns the items. We have learnt that sometimes he has to be treated as part of the family and so , if something important to us goes missing that we need almost immediately we will simply stand still and say. "Okay, you've had your fun and we know you are there and want attention from us but this is making life difficult for us so Give it back Right Away!" It is very rare when the item doesn't appear within minutes! Sometimes we simply have to leave the room and come back in to find missing car keys, important documents, papers that have essential phone numbers on them etc, simply placed in a very obvious spot where they weren't before, quite often right in the middle of the kitchen table. On the odd occasion when the item is not returned immediately we have found that they are not essential items to our daily living and when they do eventually return, just like the Harry Potter book, their reappearance is not something that you can overlook. Makes you think..
